Although the Northeast has been bombarded by snow over the holiday weekend, how do these cities turned white by this freak blizzard compare to others across the United States that get consistent snowfall all winter?

 

Much of this past Christmas weekend focused on the cities in the East — Atlanta, Philadelphia, New York and Boston as the blizzard traveled north up the coast. But residents from Billings to Buffalo may be wondering how a snow storm could so efficiently shut down the East coast and delay all forms of travel.
