Two little babies were discovered alive, but tragically orphaned, after the havoc and wreckage caused by a Tsunami in Indonesia began to clear.

The two little rays of hope, who are both expected to live, are two of many survivors struggling to recover in Indonesia's under-equipped hospital.

On Indonesia's main island of Java, a 2-month-old baby, who was found alive in a storm drain, is recovering in a humidified crib. The baby's lungs are filled with fluid and he has cuts on his face.

Another baby, only 18-months-old was discovered screaming in branches by a boy aged 10 on the island of Pagai Selaton 48 hours after the 10ft tsunami hit. Tragically, this baby is also orphaned. The little one is being treated by medics and is expected to make a full recovery.

The death toll has now risen to more than 400 — with in excess of 300 still missing. Bad weather and a shortage of boats were hampering efforts to get tons of food, water and blankets to the remote islands which were hardest hit by the giant wave.

Tens of thousands of people have been left homeless. Elsewhere in Indonesia, the volcano that killed 33 people earlier this week began erupting again.
