After struggling to reach her personal freedom, as in the sense of no more addiction to relationships with men, drugs, and alcohol, the memoir portrays the author's emotional struggle to keep her addictions from destroying herself and away from her son.
From a Christian faith-based perspective, Ms. Laurel uses quotes from Corinthians to guide her towards her personal heaven.
Lisa Acor Laurel is a native Long Islander and works in the gardening industry, promotes and practices organic methods, is an avid labyrinth, meditation garden creator, and church participant, and a well-versed writer, this being the first of several books to come.
