We found five industries that are succeeding, growing, and hiring NOW Consider applying to one of these fields if you are in need of a job:
- Medical Field This industry is vital to Americans' well-being and security. The sick will always need healing and with the aging of the baby boomer generation, the demand for more medical services will increase. There will be more elderly people to take care of. According to America's Career InfoNet the job market for elderly care will increase 74% by 2018.In the face of lower take-home income from the recession and perhaps concurrent loss of benefits including healthcare, less Americans are retail shopping. Instead they are spending more money on essential needs. A study by the Charlotte, North Carolina based research firm, Sageworks, that analyzes weekly financial data such as sales, balance sheets and income statements for privately held companies across 1,600 industries found that in the past twelve months according to CNN Money the average dentists' office logged sales growth of 6.9%. More people are spending money on essential health needs than on luxury goods. There are opportunities to return to school and prepare for this projected growth in this industry by getting training or certification in a medical field of your interest. You could become a doctor or nurse as well. But there are many other options available in the health field if you think creatively including administrative, financial, custodial, and clerical positions that need staff employment as well.
- Education A record number of people are returning to school since desirable jobs are now harder to find. Student applications have overloaded admission offices at colleges, trade schools and graduate schools. This makes admission more competitive but also the demand for more professors higher. According to Marie Claire, teachers of higher education have become a sought after commodity, and with this sudden increase in student bodies, more people are needed to teach these demanded classes. In addition, revenue at trade and technical schools has grown by 9.1% in the past year according to the same Sagework's study. This was a substantial increase as compared to the growth just a few years ago.Not only teachers are needed for hire in the education industry, but other educational services are also in demand.
