When dealing with an overspending problem, it is important to remember that you are not alone. There are many people that have been in the same situation as you who have been able to recover and thrive. There are many different ways to help you get through this time in your life. Organizations are available to help you curb your spending and debt issues, while also dealing with the underlying problems.
It is very important to create a budget. Write up an ideal budget for a month - one in which you include the things that you would like to have. Then write up a budget that includes only the bare essentials. What are on both lists? What can you live without? You are going to have to cut out some of the items that are just luxuries.
Don't make your budget too severe. It will be hard to stick to it, and it might set you up for failure. When managing your overspending take small steps that you can gradually build on. Follow this
