The worst case scenario of menopause is that you may get extremely symptomatic, including problems with bleeding, insomnia and moodiness. You may not get enough sleep because you're up up all night sweating, having hot flashes, and feeling exhausted and miserable. You may experience symptoms during the day, too, which can wreak havoc in your workday. Also, some women get significant problems with vaginal dryness to the point where they can't have intercourse.
But all the symptoms are treatable with a good diet, regular exercise and mind/body therapies. And for most women, these symptoms are temporary. You'll soon move on to better well-being and ready to face the "new phase" of your life.
