The crippling pain that is often associated with arthritis can greatly interfere with daily activities. The disease can affect your involvement with leisure activities, and how you interact in social situations too. You may be forced to stop the activities that you love. Coping strategies and a positive approach to living with chronic arthritis are essential.

Arthritis is difficult both for the patient and his or her loved ones. It is important to have good communications with family and friends to work through misunderstandings and misconceptions.
