As winter nears, BACKBONES suggests exploring gentle body treatments for survivors of spinal cord injury.

December 2, 2011As winter approaches BACKBONES, a non-profit dedicated to connecting people with spinal cord injuries (SCI), encourages survivors of SCI to stay active, eat nutritiously and take care of their bodies.Survivors can try many different activities like yoga, weight lifting, or tai chi. Besides these physical activities, survivors can also relax and treat their bodies well with a massage or acupuncture session which offers many healing benefits.
