Ann Peacock, who comes from a prominent political family in Australia, has survived a divorce and is finally ready to relax and focus on her life now, according to The Herald Sun.
Peacock is now ready to move on and begin a new chapter in her life. The ink on the divorce papers is dry, the mansion has been sold, a custody agreement has been reached and now she's settling into her new single life.
She is a strong willed woman who is putting her focus back on her children and her career.
"I really don't want to stand out as someone who's professing sadness or 'Gee I've had a tough time', or 'Woe is me' because I'm just not that type of person," she told the new source when talking about how her status as a society woman didn't mean she was any different from everyone else.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the divorce rate in 2008 was 3.5 per 1,000 population.
