The youngest survivor of the plane crash that took the life of former Senator Ted Stevens and four others will be honored by the Washington Redskins before they take on the Baltimore Ravens on Saturday night according to the AP.
13 year-old Willy Phillips Jr. of Germantown, Maryland and his entire youth football team from the Rockville Football league will be introduced before the game. Earlier in August, the Lions, Phillips' team, was invited to scrimmage during the half-time of the Washington-Baltimore game.
Phillips broke his ankle in the August 9 plane crash, but is father, lobbyist Bill Phillips tragically died. His funeral was held last Friday.
Because of his injuries Willy wouldn't be able to play. But his coach said that Willy's eyes lit up when the news came that he would be introduced before the game, and he could still attend.
